Who is S.P.?
I was diagnosed with RA five years ago when I was a freshman in college. It was a hard and difficult road that first year, but I stuck it out and graduated in four years with a Bachelors of Journalism. I just finished getting a Masters in Journalism and am currently in search of an amazing job to launch my career (which will hopefully push me closer to my dream of becoming editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan).
I started this blog for a class, but I have continued it because I found it to be such a rewarding experience. I feel that it is important to inform people about RA. I think it is a disease that is often overlooked by the general public, and I hope to change that one day.
As for my personal life, I love walking outside in snow storms almost as much as I love sitting on the beach at night and listening to waves crashing on the shore. I am a big fan of ethnic cuisine and enjoy trying new things. I try to go to the gym as much as possible but end up a little short of that. (I’m only human!) I am attempting to practice what I preach in my blog and love hearing from others (whether you agree with me or not). So don’t hesitate to tell me about your experiences and what you have learned about RA; you may teach me a thing or two!
